How an opening works

#1. Paying

Every amount on the site reads in USDT at the current market rate. Gachas are paid in ETH at a price fixed on-chain, so the USDT figure moves with the market while the ETH price does not. The exact ETH is shown when you open a capsule, and your wallet shows it before you confirm.

On a first opening your wallet asks for up to three confirmations: wrapping ETH into WETH, approving the pool, and opening. You also pay the network gas.

#2. The draw

open takes the payment and asks Chainlink VRF for a random number. While it waits, nobody can see or choose the result, including Expo. See Randomness.

#3. The reveal

When the number arrives, the pool draws the tier from the published odds, then a prize inside that tier. The reveal fixes what you won and starts a 24-hour window.

#4. Your choice

Sell it back. The pool pays you 90% of the prize's reference value, in WETH, in the same transaction. The wallet menu turns WETH back into ETH. Nothing is bought on the market.

Claim the NFT. Expo's operator buys a token of your prize on OpenSea, straight into the Expo vault, and the pool delivers it to your wallet. The exact token is picked when it is bought: the art on a pack or a prize tile illustrates the collection and is not the token you receive.

#5. If nothing happens by the deadline

Situation at the deadline What you receive
You claimed, and the NFT could not be delivered 100% of the reference value, in WETH
You made no choice 90% of the reference value, in WETH

Anyone can trigger this settlement once the deadline has passed, so it does not depend on Expo.

Try “sell back”, “deadline”, “USDT” or “contract”.
