Risks

Please read this before you open a capsule.

  • Unaudited contracts. The contracts have not been externally audited. A bug could cost you what is at stake in an opening.
  • Admin keys. One Expo wallet currently owns the pool and can upgrade the vault. It is not yet a multisig. That wallet creates the gachas and can move the reserve: withdrawals are capped per day, but a configuration it creates is not bound by that cap.
  • No refund. An opening is final once paid. Most openings return less than their price.
  • Market values move. A reference value comes from listings and can be out of date. An NFT you keep can lose value, and resale is not guaranteed.
  • Reserve. Sell-backs and compensation are paid from the pool's reserve. The pool refuses a new opening when its free reserve cannot cover the gacha's top prize, but it holds no guarantee beyond the funds in it.
  • Delivery. A delivery can fail if a collection changes its rules. You then receive the compensation described in How an opening works, not the NFT. A collection controls its own contract, so a malicious or upgraded collection could report a delivery that did not happen: the pool could not tell.
  • Your wallet. Transactions cannot be reversed. Check the network and the amount your wallet shows you.

Only play with what you can afford to lose. Check whether this kind of product is allowed where you live.

Try “sell back”, “deadline”, “USDT” or “contract”.
